What is Pilot Career Pro?
Pilot Career Pro is a Windows add-on companion app for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. It adds persistent pilot progression, mission generation, aircraft ownership, aircraft maintenance, simulator tracking, subscriber airline operations, and Pro AI dispatch services.
Does it work with MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024?
Yes. Pilot Career Pro has beta download paths for both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Is Pilot Career Pro free?
The Free tier includes the core local career loop, pilot progression, aircraft unlocks, mission generation, aircraft maintenance, theme choices, and simulator tracking. Pro is a paid subscription for cloud sync, AI dispatch, AI dispatcher voice, hired mechanics, flying clubs, airline operations, and other premium career tools.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds cloud progress sync, AI-assisted mission generation, AI dispatcher briefings and debriefs, AI-generated dispatcher voice with monthly AI credits, live-weather mission guidance, hired mechanics, route terrain context, flying clubs, airline operations, and other premium dispatch features.
What are Flying Clubs?
Flying Clubs are Pro multiplayer career spaces with a club identity, owner and member roles, crew levels, a leaderboard, shared funds, shared fleet purchases, crew events, objectives, reputation, and operation history. Shared aircraft still require each member to meet their own aircraft unlocks.
What are Airline Operations?
Airline Operations are subscriber features for building a company identity, hiring AI pilots, dispatching company flights, reviewing credits earned from company operations, and authorizing AI pilot checkrides as the roster advances.
Does it replace the built-in simulator career mode?
No. Pilot Career Pro is an independent companion app and add-on career layer. It is designed to give sim pilots a persistent career outside the built-in simulator mode.
Does it support add-on aircraft?
Pilot Career Pro includes a beta add-on aircraft scanner for user-selected Community folders and filters aircraft opportunities by the active simulator edition and career state.
Where is pilot progress stored?
Free-tier progress is stored locally on the PC. Pro cloud sync is available for supported account sessions so progress can be backed by hosted services.
Why does Windows ask which app should open the .appinstaller file?
That usually means Microsoft App Installer is missing, outdated, blocked by policy, or the .appinstaller file association is broken. Install or update App Installer from Microsoft Store, then open the downloaded Pilot Career Pro appinstaller file again.
How do beta testers report bugs or request features?
Signed-in beta testers can send bug reports and feature requests from inside the app, including optional screenshot images and available crash diagnostics.
