What is Pilot Career Pro?
A Windows companion app for MSFS 2020 and 2024 that adds persistent progression, aircraft-aware missions, ownership, maintenance, and optional Pro operations.
Does it work with MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024?
Yes. Each simulator has a dedicated beta installer and a separate Windows app identity so installs and local data do not collide.
Is Pilot Career Pro free?
The Free plan includes the core local career, missions, simulator tracking, eligible aircraft, maintenance, debriefs, pass-offs, and app themes. Pro adds hosted premium tools.
What does Pro add?
Cloud sync, expanded aircraft access, an in-sim mission panel, AI dispatch and voice, live-weather guidance, hired mechanics, .pln overlays, flying clubs, and airline operations. AI services fall back safely when unavailable.
Where is career progress stored?
Career data is stored locally in an account-scoped application data location. Pro can also sync supported snapshots through the Pilot Career Pro API.
Does it support add-on aircraft?
The beta includes a scanner for folders you choose. It skips livery-only packages and does not upload Community folder paths, package contents, or personal files.
What are Flying Clubs?
Pro multiplayer spaces with membership, shared funds, a shared fleet, crew events, reputation, and leaderboards. Club aircraft never bypass a member’s personal unlocks or entitlement.
What are Airline Operations?
A late-career Pro loop for company identity, AI pilots, explicit aircraft assignments, AI-pilot checkrides, and company flights. AI flights earn credits only—not player XP or pass-offs.
Does this replace the simulator career mode?
No. Pilot Career Pro is an independent companion and career layer that runs beside Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Why will Windows not open the .appinstaller file?
Microsoft App Installer may be missing, outdated, blocked by policy, or no longer associated with .appinstaller files. Install or update App Installer from Microsoft Store, then open the downloaded file again.
How do I report a beta problem?
Use the signed-in feedback tools in the app or the website support form. Include the simulator edition, app version, steps, expected result, actual result, and an image when helpful. Never include passwords or payment details.
